The Owl House S2 Episode 8-You're A Devious One, Mr Hooty

Helpful Hooty Comes Through On Best Owl Episode Yet!

mperor’s Coven on his own. At the same time, he can also be super annoying, and some of the stuff he does can give people nightmares. Thus, some fans jokingly groaned when this week’s episode would be Hooty-centered. After the episode aired, though, it’s safe to say that fans appreciate Hooty more than ever!

The Owl House S2 Episode 6-Hunting Palismen with Luz and the Golden Guard

We Finally Learn More About the Golden Guard and Belos!

I know that he’s only been around for a few episodes, but I love the Golden Guard. Voiced by the talented rising star in the VA Community, Zeno Robinson, the Golden Guard quickly became one of my favorite characters in The Owl House. Considering how this series already has memorable characters, that’s saying something. Young, talented, and highly skilled, the Golden Guard serves as a great foil to both his predecessor, Lilith, and to Luz, with the show seemingly setting him up to be her new rival. However, we actually knew very little about this masked character. Until this week, that is. This week sees us gain some big insight into who the Golden Guard really is. In addition, we gain further insight into Belos’ plans for “The Day of Unity” and what his endgame is.

The Owl House S2 Episode 5-Lumity Moment 2

Lumity B-Plot Steals the Show in New Owl House

When people are creating a work of fiction that goes for an extended length of time, they tend to add in a b-plot to balance things out. When it comes to the format of a half-hour show, that usually involves one or more characters doing something concurrent to the main plot. However, sometimes the b-plot of a show can end up overshadowing the main plot. In this case, this week’s episode of The Owl House was meant to focus on Gus. Instead, everyone’s attention was drawn to the b-plot of Luz and Amity. More Lumity coming our way.

The Owl House Episode 15- Understanding Willow and Willow and Amity's Memories

Understanding Willow on The Owl House

If I had to choose the most interesting character on The Owl House, I wouldn’t choose Luz, King, or Eda. Instead, I’d choose Amity Blight. At first, we thought she was a condescending jerk. Then we learned that she was more complex than that. She puts a lot of pressure on herself, her older siblings can be a pain, and her “friends” are shallow as they come. The only real friend she had was Willow, yet she broke that off years ago. We had our theories as to why she ended her friendship with Willow, but it’s this episode that confirms them.

The Owl House Episode 10 "Escape of the Palisman" Cover Image

Secret of the Palisman

It’s mid-season finale time for The Owl House, and with no word on when the other episodes come out, the show has to stick the landing. The show’s already given us great moments and big mysteries, which I have been avidly keeping track of. In “Escape of the Palisman”, the writers touch on a recurring mystery in the series. In addition, they set up a new one alongside it.

The Owl House Episode 7 Can Luz and Amity become friends one day?

The Deal With Amity

Amity’s been in a lot of episodes of The Owl House so far. While at first she seemed set to be the jealous rival to Luz, we’ve seen there’s a lot more to her. So, as I do with a lot of characters I like, I’ve started analyzing her personality, and what I’ve found has been interesting. However, this episode ultimately gave me a clearer look at what makes her tick.

The Owl House S1, Ep 2-The Boiling Isles

Being the Chosen One’s Overrated

I’ve seen a lot of great stories that revolve around a special Chosen One meant to fulfill an important destiny. I think, from a cultural perspective, they’re meant to make everyone feel special and capable of being a chosen one. However, the last few years of TV seem to be going in the opposite direction, acting like prophecies and chosen one’s are bunk. Now The Owl House is following that route in its second episode. An episode which, I may end, seemed like a step down from the premiere.
