Last episode, we saw Deku give one of the greatest beatdown’s in MHA history. Overhaul’s been defeated at last, and they managed to give Eri a bright future. Yet with Lemillion losing his Quirk and Nighteye at death’s door, it’s a bittersweet victory. Now Deku must deal with one of the hardest parts of being a hero: losing a comrade.
One of the most anticipated fights in My Hero Academia has finally come, and Toho Animation manages to deliver. Deku unleashes One for All at full power in order to defeat the now-monstrous Overhaul, and it’s amazing!
You know what I love about the creator of My Hero Academia? The fact that he understands how great Shonen heroes don’t give up hope in the face of impossible odds. That, and he loves Star Wars as much as I do. And yes, the title for this is a reference to Star Wars.
On one side, we have Raphtalia, the best girl of 2019 and Waifu of the year. On the other, we have Malty Melromarc, the worst girl in anime history and Cersei Lannister 2.0. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
After several episodes of waiting, Lemillion manages to catch up to Overhaul and retrieve Eri. But can he beat him on his own? And I don’t care what IGN says, the fight’s not “a letdown”.
Of all the times for the show to go on a mid-season finale break, they choose to do it now? When things are getting really good? Well, see you guys again in April. LINK START!

I’ve noticed a recurring theme among stories that feature a climatic final battle between two opposing forces. Right before the big fight, there’s always a moment where the cast calms down and prepares themselves for what’s about to happen. Star Wars had their moment with Luke and Leia in Jedi; and Game of Thrones had a whole episode before the White Walkers attacked. Now SAO: Alicization goes through its own calm before the storm as the final battle for Underworld is about to begin.
Sword Art Online has given us its fair share of villains over the years. While at are great hat sinks (*cough* Sugou and Quinella *cough*), I wouldn’t put them on a list of great anime villains. However, the exception to that has to be the big bad for War of Underworld, Gabriel Miller. I said that he’s a sociopath in my last post. However, it’s not until this episode that shows us how much of a gaming sociopath he is.
