It took us six episodes to get to this point, but at last, the War for Underworld has begun. I waited for this moment since reading about it in the web novels. I wanted it to be what made SAO a good isekai again. However, this first episode felt like a repeat of the Battle of Ice and Fire from Game of Thrones. The difference is that this time we can see what’s going on.
Sword Art Online has given us its fair share of villains over the years. While at are great hat sinks (*cough* Sugou and Quinella *cough*), I wouldn’t put them on a list of great anime villains. However, the exception to that has to be the big bad for War of Underworld, Gabriel Miller. I said that he’s a sociopath in my last post. However, it’s not until this episode that shows us how much of a gaming sociopath he is.
So, in the latest episode of Sword Art Online: Alicization- War of Underworld, we get stuck with more exposition and no action. Good things come to those who wait.
In this episode of My Swordsman Academia, sorry I had to make the joke. In these episodes, we see what Kirito’s been doing for the last two years.
Sorry for the delay, everyone! My review for the next dub of SAO: Alicization is up
The first boss fight of the game has been cleared. Wait… this isn’t a game, though. So why I do still see it as one?
The biggest story in Sword Art Online’s history just started its dub on Toonami. Let’s dive in.
