When I first met this version of Fenton Crackshell Cabrera, I didn’t think much of him. But now, he’s yet another stellar member of an already amazing cast that I’ve grown to love. It’s only fitting that one of the final episodes focuses on him finding a sense of happiness and accomplishment in life in the new episode “Beaks in the Shell”.
Hey, everyone, and Merry Christmas! I know that I said I’d be on break until after Christmas, but I had some free time, so I thought I’d go back and … Continue Reading Light of the Sun and Stars a New Review
Everyone, I’m going to start this review with a disclaimer. If you haven’t seen the season finale to The Mandalorian, then for the love of all that is holy, go watch it. RIGHT. NOW. Because it’s only after watching it that you’ll understand why the entire Star Wars fandom cried tears of joy in the early morning of December 18th, 2020.
Disney has just revealed their plans for the next few years with Disney Investor Day, and there’s a lot to look forward to!
When people fight in wars, or for survival, things like morality tend to fall by the wayside. The desperation, the compromises, the loss. No one’s immune, not the Jedi, and … Continue Reading Mandalorian Episode Gives Insight on Why Empire is Evil
Having heard Nostalgia Critic’s review of Star vs. the Forces of Evil, I compare notes with my own thoughts on the show, while also reaffirming why I love fanfics of the show so much.
As word breaks about the impending ending of DuckTales!, I take to Twitter to remind people the difference between cancellation and ending a show.
Next to what happened to Della, the reason why Scrooge hates Santa Claus has to be the biggest mystery of the DuckTales! reboot. The mere mention of him is enough to make him go nuts. But the show’s never given us an actual reason for his hate for St. Nick. Until now. That’s right, we finally learn why Scrooge hates Santa
Sometimes, TV gives something that comes at just the right time on the right day to really stand out. Today, DuckTales managed to do just that. Their latest episode, which is about family matters, isn’t just conviently coming out the week of Thanksgiving, but it also marks another important day. Today, November 23rd, marks the 57th birthday of the famous sci-fi franchise Doctor Who. Scrooge McDuck’s played by David Tennant, famous for being the 10th incarnation of the Doctor. And then there’s the fact Michelle Gomez, who played The Master on Doctor Who for three years, guest stars in this episode. And the episode airs on her birthday.
After careful deliberation, I am ready to deliver my verdict on the reboot to the Animaniacs: meh, I’ve seen worse.
Ever since he was introduced back in “The Reckoning”, fans have been asking questions about the new villain, Moff Gideon. We know that he’s dangerous and that he wants to get ahold of Baby Yoda, but why? What’s his endgame or master plan? After seeing the latest episode, I have a theory as to what Moff Gideon’s plan is…and it’s not good for anyone.
When people ship fictional characters and then see them get together, they act like everything will be perfect from then on. That’s even if said ship becomes canon in a story’s grand finale. However, in the real world, finding your soulmate’s half the battle. The other half involves the effort that goes into growing and maintaining a healthy relationship whilst working through problems. Despite getting together in the series finale, Princess Bubblegum and Marcilene still have a lot of baggage that they need to work through. And Obsidian sees them do just that while also answering some lingering questions about their history.
Ah, the wonder of childhood. A time when the world’s new, exciting, and a grand adventure to be had! For Donald and Della Duck, though, it ended up being just that when they got to spend time with their Uncle Scrooge. We all know that Scrooge, Donald, and Della went on countless adventures in their younger days. Until now, though, we’ve never gotten to see what it was like for them. This week’s episode of DuckTales! gives us an adorable heaping of the past as we see the trio’s first adventure!
What do you when you fire someone from a job because they’re not good at it, or because they’re jerks? You look for people to replace them. As it turns out, the same thing can happen with Gods in the Disney Afternoon-verse (that’s right, that’s the name now.) When a position in the Greek Pantheon suddenly opens, the kids find themselves competing to be the new Olympian Idol.
Last week, we saw The Mandalorian begin its sophomore season with as big a bang as possible. There were explosions, Tusken Raiders, a giant Krayt Dragon, and the return of … Continue Reading This week on ‘The Mandalorian’: SPIDERS!
The major theme to the third season of the reboot of DuckTales! has been the idea of legacy. Since the start, Huey, Dewey, and Louie have been following in the legacy of those that came before them: Scrooge, Donald, Della, and many others. And without even realizing it, they’ve become incredibly badass as a result of all their adventures. As the race against F.O.W.L. is on in this episode, we get to see just how far the Duck Boys have come, and I love it!
