I’ve been a big fan of cartoons since I was a little kid. Now that I’m an adult, I’m still a fan of them; plenty of adults are. This is for any Western Cartoons. If you’re looking for anime, you’ll have to look for Animanga.

Close Enough

Close Enough Is Great Enough

I am beyond thrilled that Close Enough is now on HBO Max. Ever since it got announced more than two years ago, I’ve been pumped to see it on TV. But then TBS dropped the ball, so HBO Max had to pick it up. And they managed to score a slam dunk with it! Not only do we see series creator JG Quintel in top form, but I feel like this show’s come at such a crucial time in our lives. To be more specific, it’s come out a crucial time in the lives of millennials. We’re moving away from being young adults into full-fledged grownups and parents and facing new challenges. So, it’s great that we have a show that gives a voice to those issues while also making us laugh about them.

Animation’s Going to Own this Summer

Even with how rotten 2020’s been, It’s nice to know that there’s still things that I can honestly look forward to. And considering how this week’s going to have the premiere of a show I know I’ll love and the return of two shows I already love, I am one happy camper. Earlier today, Disney released teasers showing what’s next for its shows Amphibia, Big City Greens, and The Owl House. And I knew that I just had to come here and gush about them.

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 13- The Runaway Bridesmaid

Harley Quinn Wraps up Season with Crazy Wedding

Ever since we saw Harley and Ivy kiss, we knew that this whole “Ivy-Kiteman Wedding” wasn’t going to pan out. Heck, we knew it wouldn’t even before then. So to say that I was surprised by how the season finale of Harley Quinn turned out would be a lie. I knew going in that Harley and Ivy would end up together; I just didn’t know how. As it turns out, it was due to Harley…and circumstances beyond their control.

Amphibia and Owl House Return in Late Night Power-Hour!

At long last, we’ve got confirmation, people. After months of rumors and speculation, Disney offically confirmed the release of new episodes of The Owl House and Amphibia. Starting Saturday, July … Continue Reading Amphibia and Owl House Return in Late Night Power-Hour!

Darth Vader Dark Lord of the Sith and A Bad Dad (Most of the time)

Worst Dads Ever

They are the pinnacle of horrible parenting at it’s absolute worst. Happy Father’s Day everyone, and today, I wanted to take a look at some examples of characters that I consider to be the worst dad’s in fiction. Whether they neglected their children or were verbally or physically abusive to them, these are the deadbeats that Child Protective Services would love to put behind bars. That is, if they could.

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 12- Lover's Quarrel

A Lover’s Quarrel Defines the Penultimate Episode

So, after getting some actually helpful advice from the Joker of all people, Harley Quinn made up her mind about Ivy. She’s not going to give up on her love for Ivy or their friendship. However, Dr. Psycho continued to be a royal pain as he manages to mind-control Ivy and orders her to fight Harley to the death in a deadly lover’s quarrel. Man, that is evil.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts Season 2

Kipo Returns Bigger & Better Than Ever

So, this weekend forced me to choose between doing one of two things for Saturday. My first option was to livestream some Pokemon Sword/Shield. My second option was to binge-watch the new season of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts on Netflix.

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 10- Dye Hard

Harley Quinn Meets Die Hard, Or Dye Hard

Well, after last week’s lackluster episode, I’m happy to say that Harley Quinn is finally getting back on its feet. With less than three episodes left in the season, now’s the time to start tying the show’s plot threads together. And man, does Harley do it in style! Grab your best clothes, because it’s time for Harley to do Die Hard. Or in this case, Dye Hard.

Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 10- Star Mort, Rickturn of the Jerri Rick and Space Beth

Rick & Morty Goes ‘Star Wars’ in S4 Finale

*Slow clapping from being thoroughly impressed* Those magnificent people who work on Rick and Morty. They did it. After an (admittedly) lackluster second half to Season 4, Rick and Morty manages to stick the landing with the best episode since “The Rickshank Redemption.” Not to mention, it’s the best finale since “Wedding Squanchers.”

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 9: Bachelorette Harley and Ivy wake up in bed.

Harley and Ivy Get Awkward

So, it may be because I’ve been really busy now that I’m back at work, but I just couldn’t get into this week’s episode of Harley Quinn. Last week, we saw Harley Quinn try to bury her feelings for Ivy by doubling down on being a villain. However, that ended as well as I thought. Steven Universe Future taught me that it’s not healthy to bury your emotions in denial. Just when Harley’s about to confess to Ivy, though, she sees how happy she is Kite Man and can’t go through with it. As a result, this episode sees Harley try to pull the “I want my beloved to be happy” trope and support Ivy. But Star vs. The Forces of Evil also taught me that bottling up your feelings can lead to heartache.
