Edens Zero Chapter 195
So sorry that it took me so long to write this review, but with the slow pace of Edens Zero lately, motivation has been difficult to find. Not to worry, though. I’m still invested in this series, and I intend to see it through to the end. As the fight with the Dark Stars continues, Hermit and Killer battle it out in a genjutsu-based duel!
Having gone into her Overdrive form, Hermit and Killer start to go at each other. As for Clown, he slips away into the baths, leaving Sister to follow him, which he then proceeds to turn into poison.
Back in Killer’s dimension, Shiki manages to rescue Happy and Pino, and the three then meet up with Weisz, who’s rattled, but unharmed. In addition, Weisz claims he can remodel the entire dimension to help them escape!
Aboard the Edens Zero, Hermit continues to mop the floor with Killer…is what she thinks is happening. In truth, she’s under a digital genjutsu put on her by Killer. The Dark Star promptly attempts to hack her hard-drive and turn her to their cause…
…is what he thinks is happening. Hermit already broke through the illusion, and put her own digital genjutsu on Killer, setting him up for a punch to the face, courtesy of Hermit!
That’s what happens when you try to go up against a person who likes to get prepared ahead of time. In this case, Hermit took all the data from what Killer did to Weisz and figured out what he’d do. Brilliant. An outsmarting worthy of Joseph Joestar himself.
While it’s great to see the Dark Star’s being pushed back, I don’t actually want to see them die. If what Shiki keeps seeing is true, then they, and the Shining Stars, have a shared history that no one knows about. That mystery will have to wait, though, until Shiki, Weisz, Happy, and Pino manage to escape.
There’s not that much else to say about this chapter, other than the fact that this whole arc seems to be going at a steady pace. A little too steady, though, at times.
I Give “Fictitious Story” a 2.5/5
