The Battle for Wano Nears Endgame in One Piece

One Piece Chapter 1027 Review/Recap

Oh, this is getting good! On the last chapter of One Piece, Luffy and Momonosuke squared off against the mighty Kaido. Then Momo proceeded to bite the Yonko so hard, he screamed! Then Luffy followed it up by clashing with him once more. Only this time, their punches split the heavens! As a result, the Mink Dukes managed to best Perospero and Jack. With so many of the Beast Pirates officers out of commission, we’re nearing the endgame to one of One Piece‘s biggest arcs ever!

KICK HIS ASS, LUFFY!!!

Recap

On Onigashima, everyone’s amazed at the clash between Luffy and Kaido. Yamato and Momonosuke compare to the clashes between Whitebeard and Gol D. Roger all those years ago. Unfortunately, Kaido’s so worn out by now, his power that he’s using to float the island are failing. In other words, if Momonosuke doesn’t do something, Onigashima will fall dangerously close to the Flower Capital. In addition, there’s enough explosives in the island to blow the Capital to Hell. To stop it while Luffy takes down Kaido, Yamato and Momonosuke decide to use the latter’s own power to hold the island up.

Inside, the fight with King and Queen continues, with King having gone berserk while fighting Zoro. Why? Because Zoro cracked his mask. King’s so enraged that he forces Zoro outside the island altogether. Luckily, Zoro manages to launch himself back onto the island, with both saying what the other did is unforgivable.

The endgame, indeed.

Review

Oh, I cannot wait to see the last few chapters make it into the anime. It’s going to be absolutely epic! If there was ever any doubt that Luffy’s ascended to the level of a Yonko, then it’s gone! At this point, I’m hoping that he’ll run into Sakazuki again just so that he can kick his ass for killing Ace. Admit it: we all want to see that happen.

I checked, and as of this moment, King, Queen, and Big Mom are the only major players in the enemy left standing. If Zoro and Sanji can take the All Stars down, they can win! That is, if they can take Kaido down and force Big Mom to hightail it.

The endgame is here, and I can’t wait to see Luffy beat Kaido! This is going to be good!
