I have been waiting all season for My Hero Academia to get to this point in the anime: the Meta Liberation Arc, AKA My Villain Academia. While the heroes have spent the entire season training to get stronger, the League of Villains has been trying to stay afloat. Now, they’ve been called out to the revival party of the Meta Liberation Army. And as this episode proves, this revival party is going to be absolutely glorious!!
me, I’ve seen it become one of the high points of One Piece. From the larger-than-life story of Oden Kozuki and his epic end to the ongoing war against the Yonko, this arc has succeeded all my expectations. However, with the arc nearing its climax, it’s time for a few more surprises. Sanji and Zoro push their power beyond their previous limits, while Momo makes a choice that would make his Dad cry from sadness and pride. Kaido doesn’t stand a chance now.
The Avengers were supposed to be Earth’s mightiest heroes, but this week’s What If…? asks what would happen if they never rose?

akes him ten times as dangerous. Worse, he’s got no loyalty whatsoever to his adoptive father, and this chapter proves it!
The heroes take a backseat as the villains take to the stage with the start to the highly anticipated my villain academia arc.
When the Battle of Onigashima officially started, we all knew that the Alliance would win. They achieved the element of surprise, and despite several of their strongest fighters being taken out of action (some more so than others), they’ve managed to hold their own. Additionally, thanks to Queen’s actions, thousands of the Beast Pirates defected to join the Alliance. Unbeknownst to anyone, most of the Gifters are about to do the same. This week, Tama gives the marching orders that could turn the tide for good!
The moment when the anime starts the actual battle on Onigashima in earnest, I will be eagerly watching the whole thing. Thus far, the climax of the Wano Arc has seen the Straw hats and their allies fight unbelievable odds, and, despite some losses, they’re still winning! However, with the Flying Six now out, the biggest threat to the Alliance outside of the Yonko are the All-Stars. Luckily, the Alliance has two big stars of their own ready to take center stage.
In 2020, the entertainment world was stunned by the sudden death of Chadwick Boseman, famous for his role as the Black Panther in the MCU. Before he died, though, he recorded lines for T’Challa for Marvel What if…? In this first outing, T’Challa becomes a legendary space outlaw rather than the Black Panther.
When we last left off Edens Zero two weeks ago, the Rutherford siblings were locked in battle with Lyra and Callum of the Ocean’s 6. At first, their wind Ether Gear let them put up an impressive fight. However, Jinn got caught off-guard when he realized that Callum was his old sparring partner from his dojo days on Guilst. Thanks to that, the two were forced on the defensive as Callum started to turn Jinn’s body into mist! In order to win, the Winds of Edens will need to dig deep to unlock their latent power!
inally! After weeks and weeks of waiting, MHA is about to get to the good stuff! With the fifth season of the anime only having six episodes left, it’s got to get a move on if it wants to lay the groundwork for the next season. The season that will, more than likely, focus on the biggest and darkest arc to date. And it starts with Present Mic and Eraserhead encountering a face from their past.
We all knew that this was coming, but it didn’t make it any easier to watch. Luz thinks she’s found a way back home but questions if she’s ready for what she’ll find on the other side.
There are two great tools to storytelling: what if? and the multiverse theory. The other great tool of any storyteller is, fittingly, the multiverse theory. The idea of an infinitely expanding number of universes lends itself perfectly to this. And the MCU looks ready to capitalize on the concept that’s been present in Marvel Comics for decades. With the end of the first season of Loki throwing the gates to the Multiverse wide open, fans of the MCU get their first glimpse into these new realities with the new animated series “What If…?” For its first outing, we get a fun, but relatively safe, story involving Peggy Carter.
fficially come to an end. Fittingly, the finale takes place entirely on Kamino, where the show, and the Clone Troopers, first began. Rather than go out with a massive bang, though, The Bad Batch chooses to end on a somber, bittersweet note as everyone, both in-universe and in the real world, realizes that things can’t go back to the way they once were. No matter how hard we may want them to.
