Edens Zero Chapter 141 Review/Recap
You know, from the moment that I met him, I have hated Shura. He’s a sociopath, an arrogant jerk, and a ladykiller who actually kills ladies. I have been wanting to see Shiki bring him crashing to earth for some time now, which is why I’ve been looking forward to seeing their eventual clash. This week, I finally get my wish. The fight between Gravity Users begins, and I’m going to need to grab some popcorn!
Having broken through Shura’s blockade, the Shining Stars plan is simple. While they distract the enemy from the air. But before they can even get near the city where the All-Link can be found, they’re stuck in mid-air. Shura’s come out to play with them, making everyone freak out!
Everyone, that is, except for Shiki. He orders the group to continue on without him. He’ll deal with the royal brat. After introductions are finished, Shura then waltzes up to Shiki and tries to intimidate him with his Gravity Ether. However, Shiki’s having none of it.
After a brief standoff in which Shiki struggles a little, he manages to send Shura into the air before giving him a well-deserved punch to the face. As Hermit watches aboard the Edens Zero, she tells Rebecca that not only has Shura exceeded her Ether projections. So has Shiki.
Bow to the king, Shura.
Holy crap, this is going to be epic, you guys! You have no idea how much I’ve been wanting to see Shiki put that arrogant jerk Shura in his place. Thus, seeing the Demon King punch Shura into the ground was very satisfying to watch. In addition, this whole chapter reminded me of the iconic moment when Goku and Frieza first met in Dragon Ball and Goku managed to injure the tyrant. I got the same vibes from this scene.
However, I don’t expect this fight to be a walk in the park for Shiki. Based on their opening salvoes, I can estimate just how stronger both of the Gravity Users are. While Shiki has improved tremendously thanks to Xeno’s training, it looks like Shura has a slight advantage. In other words, I think this fight will push Shiki to his limits. But for the sake of the Aoi Cosmos, Shura has to be taken down!
I am truly looking forward to seeing how this fight plays out, and what other obstacles the Edens Zero will encounter as they make their way to the All-Link. Since this is a Shonen series, though, I can expect the heroes to unveil some new moves and powers. And I can’t wait!
I Give “A World of Ash” a 4/5
