South Park: The Pandemic Special

The Pandemic Special Tried to Make us Laugh at 2020

At the time I’m writing this, it’s only been an hour since the premiere of South Park: the Pandemic Special, and I’m still coming down from the laughter high it gave me. And considering how my highlight from the previous night was seeing the two guys running for President yell at each other, I needed this pick-me-up. All of America needed this pick-me-up. They needed this Pandemic Special, and it largely delivered. It also served as a reminder that this year is the worst since 1968. Now, let’s breakdown what made this Pandemic Special work so well.

Edens Zero Chapter 112 Cover Page

Edens Zero Teaches Lesson About Family

Our adventures on the planet Red Cave came to an end last week, but we learned a lot of new info. There are relics scattered across the universe that are filled with Mother’s Ether. Collect the Ether, and it can lead the way to Mother. It’s simple on paper, but nothing ever goes that simple in a story. Also, remember how I said that Shiki may end up angering Nero, the ruler of the Aoi Cosmos? I fear that we may be building up to just that.

One Piece Chapter 991- Kaido vs. the Red Scabbards

Death Over Surrender in New One Piece

It’s been two weeks since the last chapter of One Piece, and if you’ll recall, things got even crazier than they already were. X Drake got outed as a spy for the Marines, forcing him to flee from the rest of the Beast Pirates. Knowing he can’t survive on his own, Drake takes a gamble and asks Luffy to join forces with him and take down Kaido. We know Luffy will say yes, but how will the rest of the Alliance react? The battle continues now!

DuckTales Season 3, Episode 8- The Phantom Blot

DuckTales Returns to Remind us Friendship is Literally Magic

Good news, everyone: DuckTales is back for more adventures! With The Owl House between Seasons and Amphibia on hiatus, the timing could not be better for me. I needed some sort of cartoon to review, and since I love DuckTales, this is perfect!

Edens Zero Chapter 111 Cover Page

Andrew’s Last Gift to Nadia

Well, it looks like the Red Cave Arc is over now. No big enemy to fight, just a major revelation about Mother and what kind of effect that she has on the universe. Also, remember how last chapter, I guessed that Andrew somehow got his hands on the treasure of Red Cave before he died? Called it!

Sword Art Online: Alicization- War of Underworld Episode 47

New World! Goodbye Sword Art Online Alicization

Well, everyone, I did what I set out to do. I said that I was going to review every episode of Sword Art Online: Alicization, and managed to do just that. Was the season as good as I hoped it would be? At times, it was. But it had its fair share of moments that made us cringe. And pacing problems, to be sure. But for all its faults, I think that the Alicization arc manages to stick the landing with an emotional epilogue.

South Park Returns in Hour Long Special!

In a year where everyone’s lives have been effectively screwed over by the universe, one show will rise up to challenge all the crap 2020 has thrown at mankind. By making us laugh at just how terrible this year has been! Wednesday, September 30th, 2020: South Park returns. And if they can’t save us from this year, then I don’t think anyone can!

Sword Art Online: Alicization- War of Underworld Episode 46- Alice

Alice, Welcome to Earth

So, it turns out that I was wrong about episode count for Aliczation. There are only 47 episodes, not 48. In other words, next week’s episode is going to be the finale for the season. And unless they adapt that Unital Ring Arc, the end of Sword Art Online. Thus, these last two episodes are an epilogue to welcome Alice to the real world. And, we see the Black Swordman come home at last.
