When Disney decides to take an intentionally bad version of the theme song to one of their shows and use it for an episode, you know it’s going to be good.
“Okay we ran out of budget, but kids age six to ten will love it! Glomtales!”
After last week ended with a bust for Ducktales, this week makes up for it with what I consider one of the best episodes of the season! Time travel: it’s always going to be crazy!
Well, after that awesome episode on Thursday, we’re back to one that isn’t as awesome. Since it’s Ducktales, though, it’s still good. Even the bad episodes are fun to watch, especially with a story that screams “classic Ducktales” like Cornelius Coot.
I have seen IT: Chapter Two, and while it’s not as good as the original, it does make some improvements. That’s over the 1990 miniseries and the book’s bad ending.
Try and spot all the pop culture shout outs in this episode, because this dream episode has several.
This episode of Ducktales s a family episode that shows off the bonds between parent and child; or parent figure and child. Or in the case of Doofus Drake, the lack of one.
I’ve seen a few cartoons get the musical treatment in the past. Shoot, Spongebob Squarepants got a Broadway musical, and I didn’t even know! Of all the cartoons I’ve seen, though, I don’t think any would be better suited for Broadway than Steven Universe. Steven Universe: The Movie convinced me of tha.
