LGBT Pride In Cartoons

To celebrate the end of Pride Month, I’m giving you my top 5 picks of cartoons with positive LGBT+ depictions.

Luffy is Ready to Rumble

Straw Hat Luffy’s luck never ceases to amaze me. In the last chapter of One Piece, Luffy was able to free Hyogoro and himself from their collars while Big Mom ran wild. Unfortunately, eating all the Oshiruko earned him the wrath of the amnesiac Big Mom. It’s time to see the results of Luffy’s training in Straw Hat vs. Big Mom, Round 2!

The Gilded Planet of Sun Jewel

In the last chapter, the Edens Zero gained an unexpected new guest in the form of the mysterious Captain Conner. Thanks to his incredible flying skills, they got to Sun Jewel in less than a day. That’s all well and good, but considering its reputation as the space version of Las Vegas, I’m concerned. I’m almost sure that Sun Jewel has a dark side to it.

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 28

I got confused by the criteria for today’s challenge, as I’m not sure what it means by “favorite comic time period.” In my view, that either means the run for a specific author or comic book series, or an era of comics in general. I’m going with the latter in this case for Marvel Comics, as there’s only one time period I consider my favorite.

Toy Story Does It Again

Out of the blue, Pixar gave us another Toy Story film this summer. While experience has taught me that this could potentially be a shameless cash grab, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. It is Pixar, after all. After going to see the new Toy Story 4, I’m pleased to say that it is no cash grab.

A Starfan’s Paradise: the SvTFOE Metaverse

One of the big things that I’ve learned about the fan community for Star vs. The Forces of Evil is that there’s a lot of shipping. When there’s a lot of shipping, that leads to the concept of next gen original characters, and there are kids from almost every pairing in SvTFOE. Kids from Star and Marco, Star and Tom, Marco and Jackie, even a few for Marco and Janna. Basically, if anyone thought they’d make a good pair, the fans made kids for them. So MoringMark and a bunch of other fan creators had the idea of banding them together in one place. That leads us to today’s Star vs. Fan Work, SvTFOE Metaverse.

Starfall- A Star vs Fan fic

Starfall

After getting inspired by the SvTFOE event on Tumblr, I decided to do a week of talking the best fan works from the Star vs fan base. I know I’m a few days late, but I still want to do this. We’re starting off with a crossover story of epic proportions, Starfall.

Begun, the Shipping War Has

So far, Amphibia’s focused primarily on the relationships between the Plantar family and Anne. There was the thing with Mayor Toadstool, but that’s about it. Today’s episode, though, helps grow the world of the show in two ways: a new addition to the main cast, and build on the overarching plot for the first time since the pilot. Just like Gravity Falls used to.

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 26

When you have a character roster that counts gods, aliens, sorcerers, and meta-humans in its cast, being able to wield the forces of nature seems ordinary. Marvel has its fair share of heroes, villains, and entities capable of control the elements, some better than others. There’s one being, though, that stands out above the rest as my favorite elementalist of them all.

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 25

Marvel’s made a lot of video games over the years, and in my experience, they’re a hit or miss. Some of them have been huge successes, while others have ended up bombing hard. Of all the games that use Marvel Comics, there’s one about a certain web-head that I call my favorite video game.
